Mirkin has crafted Lonely Christopher’s script into a multilayered tale of fear, bullying, coming out, remorse and—even if too late—acceptance of self.

The suicide of Nick (Matt Landry with a visage that speaks volumes) drives Beckett (the camera loving every move and angle of Connor Jessup) to a confession of desire that turns brutal¾only to be followed by an Internet hookup (Greg Gale plays initiator Darger31 with loving thoughtfulness) filled with steam and heat.

Then this crazy house moves into a spectacular sequence of dance (imaginative and fluid choreography thanks to Brendan Wyatt) as Beckett’s carnal knowledge conjures up Nick for a pas de deux that, necessarily, can have no encore.
